Belarusian painter and sculptor got the Taylor's Award in Paris

June 13, 2016, a solemn ceremony of Taylor Association Awards was held in the Theater Saint-Georges, in Paris.

Information: Baron Taylor Association was registered on December 7, 1844 by Baron Taylor under the official name ”Taylor. Association of painters, sculptors, architects, designers and engraving masters.“ The main objectives of the Association are to support artists, to develop and to promote the art in all its manifestations.

Taylor's Award is given annually in the two domains of art: painting and sculpture. Decision on giving the award is settled by a commission consisting of 12 people, which are elected by the members of the Association.

For the first time Belarusian citizens – Ms. Valentina SHOBA, painter fromGrodno, and Mr. Sergei PORTENKOV, sculptor from Gomel – became the winners of this prestigious Award.

Ms.Shoba and Mr.Portenkov were awarded during the first participation of the Belarusian delegation in the exhibition ”Art Capital“, which took place at the famous art salon ”Grand Palais“ in the autumn of 2015.

The Belarusian pavilion was organized by the Embassy of Belarus in France with the assistance of the National Art Museum of Belarus, the Belarusian Cultural Center in France and JSC ”Priorbank“, as well as and of Arcadi Volodos, Belarusian, resident in France.
